George Goodnow (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice ranges from painting and public murals, to sculpture and site-specific installations. Across their practice, their work focuses on relationships between people and built environments. They are interested in how objects hold memories, and how architecture reflects, orientates and holds bodies. Their work documents and deconstructs architecture, materials and memories to explore complex relationships between built environments, the bodily and the emotional.

Goodnow has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Ki Smith Gallery (New York), Science Gallery (Melbourne), Artereal Gallery (Sydney), Wollongong Art Gallery (Wollongong), Platform Arts (Geelong), The University of Newcastle Gallery (Newcastle) and Art Not Apart (Canberra). They have been commissioned to create public artwork for Collingwood Yards, Sydney WorldPride, MPavilion Parkville and many local councils.
